Just my personal experience. I had a bad food poisoning and I think my body was so exhausted that I developed anxiety, dehydration and couldn’t sleep because of tremor and high heart rate. I went to this clinic at 1am Monday, hoping for some UV, and doctors were just leaving with someone in a critical condition. They asked me what happened and said come tomorrow morning with that, we’re leaving. I don’t think there should be only one available doctor at the emergency department. And of course I hope that woman is okay 🙏🏻

Had an overall good experience. Went for a tetanus shot, the receptionist was ok, sent me to the doctor, the doctor was quite nice too. Both spoke some English (I speak a little Montenegrin). The doctor gave me prescription for vaccination, the nurse was nice and the injections weren’t painful. So I’d say everything went even better than I thought. I spent less than an hour, paid about 50 euros (the doctor’s consultation + vaccine itself)

My experience at 3 a.m. in this hospital was wonderful. I came for food poisoning and the care was quick (after spending 2 hours looking for the hospital with the lady from 112 who didn't speak English and was yelling at us). After telling me to be a man and accept that I hadn't waited until morning to come, she gave me 3 injections (one missed) and threw water in my face to prevent vasovagal syncope. In the end, we are in the Balkans, I wasn't expecting more or less. I hope the doctor who missed my injection into the muscle has improved since. An experience to have once in your life.

My girlfriend and I got food poisoning while staying in Herceg Novi in July 2024, and we didn't have health insurance. The Dom zdravlja Kotor team gave us first aid and put us on an IV drip. They were a huge help. Thanks to them, a thousand times over.

TR&ENG Review I was stung by a wasp, and due to an allergic reaction, the back of my calf became completely swollen and red. At Kotor City Hospital, they just told me to take a pill and apply some cream, then sent me home. By night, the pain became unbearable, so we checked the map and went to this hospital. Contrary to the bad reviews, the emergency team there was very helpful and solution-oriented — the doctor even spoke Turkish! They gave me the necessary injections, and thanks to them, I was able to enjoy the rest of my holiday comfortably. The negative reviews might be due to communication issues or differences between medical teams, I'm not sure. NOTE: In Turkish reviews, I've seen a common criticism not only about this hospital but also other locations across Montenegro — people often complain about rudeness and interpret it as racism. There may, of course, be cases where that's true. But from what I've generally observed, Montenegrins aren't particularly warm or smiley; they tend to communicate directly, regardless of nationality. They're the same way with each other, too. For us Turks, who come from a culture that's very warm and hospitable toward guests, this can feel quite foreign and even personal.

I don't understand most of these negative comments. The claim that someone from Serbia or another country didn't get the same treatment is a lie. I myself have personally brought foreigners to the emergency room many times, to various doctors, and they have always been normal. The doctors and staff of our Dom zdravlja are not racists, and if they tell you they don't have a particular vaccine, then they certainly don't. They are always available within their means. They are knowledgeable, all very kind, wonderful and professional, starting from the director on down. — A woman from Kotor

Racist and small-minded people. They spoke disrespectfully and on top of that asked us where we were from, and when we said we were Turkish, they said with disrespectful behavior that there was no rabies vaccine here or anywhere in Montenegro. Asking a patient who comes to the hospital where they're from? On top of that, where did the Hippocratic oath of doctors and healthcare workers go? People who are completely useless.

Worst experience ever If you want to feel neglected and powerless us a patient so this is the place But let me describe my experience with facts: On August 10 (it was Sunday) I came with small problem and basically I needed from them only information is it bad or it can wait or what to do. So it was a small furuncle on my belly and I’ve never had any so I didn’t know that it shouldn’t be touched etc. It was hurting about 3 days and I started to worry that I could had an infection or something. Our flight was in one day so despite Sunday I’ve decided that it better to find someone to check it. Everything was closed except this place And don’t get me wrong - 1 ⭐️ is for receiving some help but the way it was provided… So I came to the Emergency and showed them my belly with something that later they called “not the problem with what you should come on Sunday” but for some reason instead of telling me that it’s nothing serious or instructions for proper self help they introduced me to the therapist who started to point on my face (I have food allergies and there was 3 small wounds after that) and that other things that she said: - I see you never been at the skin doctor - is your menstruation is soon?(it’s not) - I see u have a skin problem maybe it’s the same (it’s definitely not even if it was acne) All the way she act like that and not even ask me if I tried to do something before or when it’s happened (after what) or do I have allergies. No. She saw my face and everything became absolutely clear to her. But should I also remind that I’m not from here and came not for treatment plan but for basic help with wound? The only person in the room who was staying professional was the nurse to whom I’m very grateful. Any way all of that questions were asked while I was lying on the cabinet sofa and she were pointing a needle in that thing. After everything was over I was crying and told my friend (who drove us there) that they were really rude. She came to them and told that this is not the way you treat people. So the doctor came and instead of talking to me or apologizing she just told my friend that I didn’t understand her because “lost in translation” (I understood her perfectly) and she didn’t tell me I was fat (she didn’t… but she told it to my friend) it’s just happened in my “fat area” (she didn’t told me anything about the case) and she just have to ask about my face because it was also spot…etc Not one word of apology to me She didn’t even try to speak to me She spoke with third person in front me and my husband. And after that they said that I should be grateful that they even treated me because normally with my problem they didn’t…So what? If u just told me it’s nothing serious and leave me be - it’s also fine. But you sawn my problem and decided to treat it. Also at some point of conversation with our friend (we standing next to her) that doctor decided that the case that she looks young(she is not) and I neglected her because of that… But the thing is that I didn’t had that thought in my mind neither to tell something like that to her. I came for help and I trusted the doctor and she totally neglected me. Never ever I would recommend this place and I feel sorry for people who will be in her care Nurse was good though

Conveniently located right by the road and the bus stop. Clean and spacious. No queue at the registration desk. We didn't wait long for the appointment. The general practitioner saw me quickly and immediately understood what I wanted from her. She wrote down what was needed and sent me to the right place. Seems experienced. A striking lady. Pleasant. Reserved. Attentive. I rate the visit positively and as useful. The young women at the registration desk were a bit slow, couldn't figure things out. They sent me to the experienced one and she sorted everything out.

The female receptionist was incredibly disrespectful, behaving in a manner completely inappropriate for someone working in healthcare. When we said we would pay in cash, instead of simply stating that she couldn’t provide change, she slammed the desk, shouted, and left her chair. If my medical condition hadn’t been so urgent, I would have left the hospital immediately. I’m sharing this incident as a heads-up for future patients who may come to the emergency department. Think twice.
