Vladimir Prlja

He was born in Sarajevo, where he finished elementary and high school. He graduated from University of medicine in Sarajevo in 1975.

He worked as a research associate in the pharmaceutical industry Galenika from Belgrade and in emergency station in Sarajevo. He finished ENT specialization in 1982. at the clinic for diseases of the ear, nose and throat of University of Sarajevo.

Postgraduate study at the direction "base of medical research," he finished by defensing The Master's Thesis titled "Appearance of secretion after tympanomastoidectomy " and gained
Master's degree in medical science also in Sarajevo in 1988.

Dr.Prlja Vladimir worked as an assistant at otolaryngology class for students of medicine and dentistsry at the Department of Otolaryngology of University of medicine in Sarajevo;

He worked as Deputy Director of the ENT Clinic in Sarajevo until April 1992. And then as Assistant Director of Hospital in Podgorica 1992-1994 and mentor of Belgrade University in Podgorica for specialization in ENT.Became Primarius in 1994.
Gained PhD in 1999 defensing the doctoral thesis "The benefits of conservative local treatment of holesteatomatosic otitis with 5-fluorouracil" in Belgrade.

In the last 30 years, participated in several conferences and meetings of regional and international importance (Mostar, Dubrovnik, Skopje, Zagreb, Roma, Paris, Prijedor, Doboj, Zenica, Beograd, Brcko, Geneve, Subotica, Sarajevo, Oslo, Cetinje, Podgorica, Kolasin , Berane, Budapest, Budva, Milocer, Nis, Novi Sad ...)..;

He completed three post-graduate course organized by the Inter-University Centre for Postgraduate Studies in Dubrovnik under the Department of ENT and cervicofacial surgery in Zagreb (Prof. I. Padovan, Prof. Krajina Z., Prof. B. Pegan) in 1983 "cancer of the larynx and hypopharynx "under the leadership of Prof. Marullo (Italy), 1985. "Cholesteatom and reconstructive surgery of the middle ear" and Prof.Wullstein Prof.Helms (Germany) and 1988, "Otitis media in children and chemotherapy of tumors of the head and neck" and "Plastic Surgery Nose" (under leadership of Prof. Conlley Prof.Muglebauer USA and Germany).

He also conducted several study visits and training: Military Medical Academy in Belgrade, Department of ENT and MFH Belgrade, Hospital Laryboasier at Prof.Gay Joste in Paris, "a clinical trial of tissue adhesive Beriplast" Sarajevo-Belgrade Alfacet and antibiotic therapy in infections of the upper respiratory tract - Sarajevo, "Laser in Medicine" IRRADIO Sweden in Belgrade in 2000.

Now, he is the director of the private health care institutions-ENT clinic "Dr Prlja Medical" in Podgorica.
